Insurans Islam TAIB Supporting an International Academic Event

(Kiulap, Bandar Seri Begawan) - Insurans Islam TAIB Sdn Bhd (IIT) in its bid to support academic events as part of their active community involvement and contribution, is donating amongst others, 550 colourful conference bags to the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) for their forthcoming 15th International Conference on Education (ICE). The gathering of international academicians and professionals with wide-ranging educational backgrounds and specializations will commence between 24th until 27th of May 2010 at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

The Managing Director of Insurans Islam TAIB, Awang Haji Osman bin Haji Md Jair presented the donations. On hand to receive the contribution was the Dean of SHBIE, Dr Hajah Romaizah bte Haji Mohd Salleh. Also present were the Sponsorship Subcommittee members of the Conference Organising Committee and staff member of Insurans Islam TAIB.

This year’s 15th International Conference on Education carries the theme, “Challenging Models, Challenging Minds: Initiating Effective Educational Reform and Development”. The aim is to discuss and debate, informed by a set of international perspectives, the ongoing challenges facing temporary educators, with particular focus on the challenges of providing effective schools and schooling.

ICE 2010 will also focus on the challenges and opportunities that are being faced by educators, be they teachers, administrators, or teacher trainees, as well as school students facing a bewildering array of reforms and requirements.

A number of subthemes have been identified to give paper presenters the opportunities to share their expertise and research findings and enable the public and overseas participants to attend to keep abreast with the current school management and leadership issues, educational reforms and teaching and learning development.

Three prominent speakers from the United Kingdom, Singapore and Malaysia, renowned for their own work and areas of specializations have agreed to deliver their keynotes. The conference will be held at the Chancellor Hall of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Insurans Islam TAIB sponsors Setia Motors Sdn Bhd

SETIA Motors kicked off its series of events and promotions for 2010 with a promotion being held in conjunction with 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, of which Hyundai is an official partner.

The launch of the first promotion coincided with the local launch of the new Hyundai i20 with the tagline "Drive in Style" at Setia Motors' Beribi showroom on Friday.

Under the World Cup promotion, any person who buys a Hyundai car between January 1 and June 15 is entitled to enter not one, but two lucky draws.

The first draw had taken place on April 9, Friday 9.30 a.m. Customers standing to win $5,000 cash or an overseas trip for two including hotel accommodation to a destination of their choice from a list that includes Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Manila.
